What causes water pollution? How is it detected? How can polluted water be purified?

Answer these questions and many more as you challenge your students with this hands-on primer on our most pressing environmental challenge.

Using safe, easy-to-use chemical tests, students analyze local water samples for a variety of common pollutants including chlorine, copper, hardness, dissolved oxygen, nitrogen, phosphate and pH. Your class will also learn how to quantify the concentration of pollutants and determine the pollution level that poses a danger to wildlife and man.
