Hollow Cylinder

Small, lightweight balls are suspended both on the outside and inside of a short length of metal tubing.

When the cylinder is charged (using a Van de Graaff Generator) through the top electrode, the balls touching the outside surface will be repelled but the balls inside will be unaffected.

Height of device is 26.5 cm.
