Freedom™ Cordless LED Microscope
| This microscope is appropriately named Freedom, since it truly
liberates users from the constraints of power cords, bulbs that burn
out often, and illuminators that get too hot. Using an
ingenious LED illumination system, Freedom can operate on a set of
three AA batteries for over 240 hours.
The LED illuminator
provides brilliant white light, and the lamp life is an astounding
100,000 hours!
Battery operation means that you don't
have to worry about using this microscope with an AC outlet
(although an optional AC adapter is included, in case you prefer to
plug it in), so it is portable and safer than electric models.
Freedom is built using quality optics and precision mechanics,
and has many features typical of microscopes that are much
higher-priced. |

All objectives are parfocal and parcentered, and the 40x objective is retractable
to prevent damage to the objective and/or your slides.
The monocular head rotates 360°,
so you can easily share a discovery with others.
Separate coarse and fine focusing
knobs allow you to precisely focus on a specimen.
Available with a 5-position disc
diaphragm, or with an iris diaphragm.
