Exploring with a Microscope Lab
| Students explore the microworld of plants, animals and microbes
using microscope slides that they safely prepare themselves using
the included hand-held microtome, specimens and reagents.
They also construct their own water drop microscope to view a
variety of microlife forms which come to life from a special dry
pond mix. The class also learns about new and exciting
microscope-imaging techniques such as dark field illumination and
polarizing light.
