Discharge Electrode, Small

This polished, anodized aluminum sphere, when grounded, is used to receive the intense arc discharges from the Van de Graaff generator dome.

The flexible grounding lead is 90 cm long and has a banana plug at one end which connects to the base of the sphere, and an alligator clip at the other end which connects to the ground post on the base of the generator.

Dimensions of the Discharge Electrode sphere are 10 centimeters in diameter with a 40 centimeter long handle.
