The unique design of these kits allows you to place the parts over its corresponding symbol in the schematic drawing on the surface of the printed circuit board during assembly. This technique maximizes the learning process while keeping the chances for an assembly error at a minimum.

AM/FM Radio Kit and Training Course

Training course of 56 pages is divided into 9 lessons; Audio Amplifier, AM Detector, AM IF, AM Amplifier, AM Mixer & Oscillator, FM Detector, 1st FM IF, 2nd FM IF, FM RF Stages. Integrated circuit technology now included. "Superheterodyne" designed to receive standard AM (amplitude modulation) and FM (frequency modulation) broadcast frequencies. Includes radio mounting stand.

The IC Version uses 1 IC, 9 transistors, and 4 diodes while the transistor version uses 14 transistors and 5 diodes (no IC).

Both kits include an assembly, lesson and theory of operation manual. The actual assembly is broken into simple sections. Each section should be completely tested before moving on. This reduces difficult troubleshooting associated with many similar kits. Both include practical hi-tech blue PC boards with the schematic printed on the surface. The manuals are easy to understand, no previous knowledge of electronics is necessary. A special molded plastic base provides the necessary support to use the radio in any location, displaying the work achievement of the student.
